Honda Brio Price

The Japanese car major has made yet another move with the launch of the compact segment car, and priced competitively at 3.95 lakhs for the base model (ex showroom price in New Delhi). The other variants of the car all fall under the 3.95 to 5.1 lakhs slab, with the top model costing about 5.1 lakhs. Honda wanted to produce a small car which would be within the 5 lakhs range and give a tough edge to the similar cars of the same segment like Hyundai i10, Maruti Swift, Wagon R and Volkswagen Polo.

The company has ramped up its production and thus targets higher revenues (about RS 112 crores) especially by exporting auto components from India, abroad. The company further added that its debut in a completely new vista is a special move to cater to the Indian consumers’ needs.

The Honda Brio is presently localized in the Indian markets by 80% and might reach the 90% slab in few months to come. This is the result of the pricing strategy adopted by the company.

The 1200cc car has the following price ranges in different Indian cities:

Delhi: The base model shall cost Rs 3.95 lakhs, while the SMT version will come at Rs 4.35 lakhs, followed by the higher variants S(O)MT and VMT Priced respectively at Rs 4.9 and 5.1 lakhs.

Mumbai: EMT – Rs 4.18 lakhs, SMT – Rs 4.61 Lakhs, S(O)MT – Rs 5.21 lakhs and VMT – 5.41 lakhs.

Kolkata: EMT – Rs 4 lakhs, SMT Rs 4.48 lakhs, S(O)MT – Rs 4.95 lakhs and VMT 5.26 lakhs.

Chennai: EMT – Rs 4.04 lakhs, SMT – Rs 4.45 lakhs, S(O)MT – Rs 5 lakhs and VMT – Rs 5.22 lakhs.

The above mentioned prices are however ex showroom prices and might vary with changes in the market. Moreover on road prices are expected to be a little higher owing to the cost of insurance and other expenses.
